THE NARNIAN WARDROBES
This was a dream project for a creative wood-worker! Shane and Jackie wanted to add an en-suite bathroom to their spacious guest room, but rather than building a wall to separate the two rooms, they had the amazing idea of using a bank of wardrobes with a secret door...
Working closely with our friends at Ripples Bathrooms, in Lindfield, we took Shane and Jackie’s initial sketches, and turned them into a firm design. The guest room wardrobes matched the period aesthetic of the home with simple shaker doors and oak lipped shelves. The beautiful wardrobe and shelves in the bathroom echoed the bedroom, but with modern built in drawers, and a contemporary matt black finish contrasting with the oak. The whole project was painted to perfection by Purdie Painting & Decorating.
And the shock on the mirror fitters' face when he opened a wardrobe and found a bathroom was quite something to see...
“Absolutely transformative, turning an old tired room into a beautiful guest suite…excellent at turning our thoughts into a plan, and the quality of the final product is very good.” Shane and Jackie, Haywards Heath
